Togolese paedophile arrested November 12, 2009

The
Tema Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of
the Ghana Police Service, has arrested a suspected paedophile at
Kpone-Kokompe near Tema for performing oral sex on boys.

Amegaji who has lost count of his victims said, he had practised the act in many countries including Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Chad and Cote D’Ivoire.

Mawuli Amegaji, a 45-year-old mason, and a native of Aveve in Togo,
was arrested at about 0530 hours on Tuesday morning at his residence at
Kpone-Kokompe. This followed a report made to the Kpone Police by the
father of the victims, aged eight and eleven. Assistant Superintendent
of Police (ASP) Rebecca Nyamah, Tema Regional DOVVSU Co-ordinator, told
the Ghana News Agency that the father of the victims received
information from neighbours that for some time now, they had been
seeing his two sons in the residence of the suspect who was known for
such acts. ASP Nyamah stated that upon intensive questioning, the
victims who initially refused to confide in their father, narrated
their ordeal to him.

Sundance raises cash for Cameroon iron plan November 9, 2009

YAOUNDE, Nov 9 (Reuters) – Australian miner Sundance
Resources (SDL.AX) has raised A$85 million ($79 million) from
institutional investors to advance its Mbalam iron ore project
in Cameroon, the company said on Monday.

According to the agreement, 567 million shares will be
issued at A$0.15 per share, subject to shareholder approval.

Proceeds will be used to complete a definitive feasibility
study of the Mbalam project, undertake drilling to define more
high-grade mineralisation and provide general working capital.

"We have deliberately targeted a new investor base to
broaden the reach and exposure of the company to the
international market ahead of our proposed project financing
activities in 2010," managing director Don Lewis said in a
statement.

Sundance Resources submitted a feasibility study on Mbalam
to the Cameroonian government last month, projecting the Central
African country would receive some $5 billion in royalties,
taxes, and dividends during the 25-year life of the mine.
