South African President Jacob Zuma (L) takes part in a dance during his traditional wedding to Thobeka Madiba (R), his fifth wife, at the village of Nkandla in northern KwaZulu-Natal, January 4, 2010. The ceremony took place at Zuma's traditional home in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal province, where the 68-year-old president, in Zulu tribal dress, married Tobeka Madiba, 37, according to clan.
It's no surprise that African presidents do not lack the time to engage in unmeaningfull activities. While this is not taboo in Africa, we can only hope that it is not taboo for him to spend time with his already 18 or 19 children. One has got to wonder what message this sends to the youths of South Africa. Before he took power, Zuma was involved in a very public scandal in which he was accused by his HIV positive niece of rape. Zuma insisted that it was purely consensual and that even though he did not use a condom, he TOOK A SHOWER after the deed.
Well, this only goes to prove that even in a democratic election which is free and fair, Africans will some way, some how choose the dumbest people to lead them.
