Inter have issued a statement against satirical Italian television
program Striscia La Notizia after they chased Samuel Eto’o around Milan
asking questions into his private life. Tuttosport reported that
journalists from the program tried to stop and show Eto’o a video of a
young girl whose mother claims the Cameroon star is the father.
However, the striker refused to meet the program’s requests and left
without making any comments. Inter have now stepped in and released a
statement on their official website, condemning Striscia La Notizia in
relation to what happened.”The player Samuel Eto’o, a serious
professional, was a victim of ‘television ambush’ on Wednesday night
for what is a totally private matter.
“FC Internazionale would like to express their displeasure for the
violent manipulation of the media on the privacy of our player. We are
upset with this sad incident.”
